Didier Drogba gives £800K jewellery gift to Chelsea players
Didier Drogba paid over £800,000 for a set of commemorative rings for his former Chelsea team-mates.
The gold, diamond and sapphire rings, to celebrate the team's Champions League final victory, are individually inscribed for each player and depict the wearer's face in silver.
The centre forward presented the gifts to Paulo Ferreira, Daniel Sturridge, Ryan Bertrand, David Luiz, Ashley Cole and Branislav Ivanovic at a lavish dinner at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel last night.
Cole tweeted images of the US Superbowl-style rings, adding: "I appreciate everything lad!"
