The Duke and Duchess did not complain to the hospital after a nurse inadvertently revealed private information about the condition of the Duchess to hoax callers from an Australian radio station, according to St James's Palace. A spokesman said:
"At no point did the Palace complain to the hospital about the incident. On the contrary, we offered our full and heartfelt support to the nurses involved and hospital staff at all times."
An inquest has heard that the nurse who transferred a prank call about the Duchess of Cambridge was found hanging in her nurses' quarters.
Jacintha Saldanha's colleagues discovered her hanged in her room in the King Edward VII's Hospital nursing quarters, her inquest has heard.
The family of Jacintha Saldanha say they miss her 'every moment', as Australian hoax DJs say they are 'heartbroken' at her death.
