Human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell, head of the Equal Love campaign, welcomed David Cameron's support for gay church weddings:

The Unitarians, Quakers and Liberal Jews all want to conduct marriages for their lesbian and gay faithful. It is no business of the law to block them.
