Manchester derby: People charged aged between 18 and 52

Greater Manchester police have confirmed that the nine people charged following clashes in yesterday's Manchester derby were aged between 18 and 52.

All are due before Manchester City Magistrates' Court on 4 January next year. Police said four other arrests were made.

Chief Inspector Steve Howard said: "To have just 13 arrests for a crowd of this size and a match of this proportion is a testament to the policing operation we put in place."
