UK among the few major economies still with AAA status

It is worth mentioning, as Standard & Poor's revises the UK's outlook to negative, that in the G7 only three countries - the UK, Canada and Germany - still have a AAA rating from all three main agencies.

UK credit rating under threat

The ratings agency Standard & Poor's has placed the UK on a negative outlook, increasing the chances of a downgrade from its top AAA credit rating.
