Queen attends Cabinet meeting
The Queen has attended a Cabinet meeting at Downing Street as part of events to mark her Jubilee year. She will become the first monarch to attend the weekly briefing since Queen Victoria.
Professor: Queen's Cabinet visit 'inappropriate'
The Queen will be presented with a gift while at Downing Street funded by contributions made by each Secretary of State to mark her Diamond Jubilee.
Rodney Barker, emeritus Professor of Government at the London School of Economics and Political Science, said he believed the move was "inappropriate".
