Fans inquest costs to be paid

The Government has said it will pay for the legal representation for the bereaved families of the 96 victims of the Hillsborough disaster at the fresh inquests into their deaths. Yesterday the High Court has quashed the verdicts of accidental death.

Hillsborough victims' families: 'Justice is on its way'

Trevor Hicks, who lost both daughters in the Hillsborough disaster, said the victims' families were "delighted" with today's ruling and added that "justice is on its way".

Outside the High Court, Mr Hicks added that today was a "huge step for the families".
