Public warned to 'remain vigilant' over flooding

The Environment Agency has warned the public to "remain vigilant" over flooding as more heavy rain is forecast for the country.

Flood warnings and alerts are currently in place in the following regions:

  • Anglia - 9 warnings; 23 alerts
  • Midlands - 22 warnings; 25 alerts
  • Northeast - 5 warnings; 13 alerts
  • Northwest - 1 warning; 18 alerts
  • Southeast - 27 warnings; 55 alerts
  • Southwest - 13 warnings; 48 alerts
  • Wales - 2 warnings; 34 alerts
