Lost seal swims 50 miles inland to Cambridgeshire lake

It's claimed a seal has been spotted 50 miles inland in a Cambridgeshire lake after swimming through floodwaters.

This amateur footage appears to show it climbing over flood defences in Fen Drayton Lakes reserve, near St Ives.

It was filmed by YouTube user Robjn who told Metro: "It was swimming up a ditch that links to the Great Ouse.

"At first sight in the water I thought it was a dog in trouble but as it came up for air I could see it was a seal.’
