Vladimir Putin signs order giving Gérard Depardieu Russian citizenship
From @KremlinRussia_E on Twitter:Russia has granted citizenship to French actor Gerard Depardieu.
He announced at his annual news conference last month that he made the offer to the Gaelic star after Depardieu bought a house in Belgium, close to the French border in an apparent attempt to avoid France's new top rate of tax.
