Prince Charles launches ITV This Morning's 'You Can Be Heroes' week

ITV's This Morning are launching 'You Can Be Heroes' week with the help of the Prince of Wales.

After last year's successful Olympic and Paralympic Games, the prince hopes that the public can maintain and build on the goodwill and enthusiasm generated by Games-makers and volunteers.

He said: "A lot of people don’t realise how so many of these people keep the whole show on the road. There is something remarkable in this country I think, about the volunteering spirit.”

Prince Charles also spoke about other, more personal areas of his life, such as not wanting to hand on "increasingly dysfunctional world" to his and every, grandchild.

He also spoke of his fears for Prince Harry, who is currently serving in Afghanistan:

"Certainly every night I worry. But he loves doing what he’s doing and he’s brilliant at it.”

The full interview with the Prince of Wales will be broadcast on Monday 7th January
