Mancini: Balotelli row overblown

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has said his training ground bust-up with striker Mario Balotelli was overblown and has no plans to sell him. He added "Mario is Mario" but that the player needs to change.

Report: Balotelli AC Milan transfer exit is 'unlikely'

Manchester City fear they may be stuck with their errant striker Mario Balotelli, despite a training ground bust-up with manager Roberto Mancini, according to The Daily Mirror.

It is true, we release Pato to Corinthians with the promise that he will be back to Milan in future, but Balotelli, as I have said on many occasions, doesn't convince me as a man.

The newspaper said City were hoping to sell Balotelli back to Italy, possibly to AC Milan who sold Brazilian striker Pato to world champions Corinthians.

But owner Silvio Burlusconi appeared throw a spanner in the works of any possible deal when he questioned Balotelli's character.
