Before the nominations are even announced William Hill has put odds of 66/1 on the latest Bond film to win the Best Picture Award for the first time in its 50 year history.
Spokesman Rupert Adams said, “Bond is the longest running movie franchise in history and Skyfall the most successful in that 23 film series, you have to think it has a chance of delivering the big one."
But despite optimism about Skyfall's chances it is still trailing Stephen Spielberg's Lincoln - 10/11, Les Miserables - 9/4 , and Life of Pi - 20/1. The British spy lags with odds of 66/1.
The Oscar nominations have been unveiled with Steven Spielberg's Lincoln leading the way with 12 nominations.
Strange tales often turn up in the strangest of places. Fawad Mohammadi and his amazing film is the perfect example of that.
