Waitrose has become the latest supermarket to pull beef burgers from its selves in the horsemeat scare. The Food Standards Agency is investigating the discovery of horse DNA in beef burger products.

Dietitian: Public expect to know what they are eating

From a nutrition and food safety aspect there is no harm in eating horsemeat; the real issue is that today the public expect to know the ingredients of what they are eating.

People find eating some meats unacceptable, including horse which is not usually eaten in the UK.
