Primark sales up 25% over Christmas period
Sales at Primark over the Christmas period were up a higher-than-expected 25 percent from a year earlier, the clothing retailer's owner announced.
Associated British Foods said new store openings had helped boost sales, bucking the trend on Britain's flagging high street.
"Like-for-like growth benefited from comparison with weak sales during the unseasonably warm autumn of 2011 and good trading over the Christmas period," the group said.
