Amber snow warnings in force in the North East

The Met Office still has several amber weather warnings in force for north-east England as well as eastern areas of Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Snow showers will continue across northeastern coastal areas of England with a further 5 to 10 cm of snow in places, mainly away from the immediate coastline, and perhaps a little more on hills.

The public should be aware of possible disruption to travel through Friday night and the first part of Saturday.
