Cold weather set to cause further travel disruption
A layer of snow and icy conditions are set to cause travel chaos across the UK today, with rail networks, airports and roads all affected by Britain's cold snap.
- Low visibility means 10 per cent of Heathrow Airport flights will be grounded.
- East Coast, Eurostar, First Capital Connect, London Overground, Southeastern, Southern, South West Trains and Virgin trains are all facing disruption
- Two major roads across the Pennines, the A628 Woodhead Pass and the A66 between Brough and Bowes, are closed.
