UK may lend France more transport assets for Mali

Britain is to consider giving France more transport and surveillance assets to help with the operation in Mali, Prime Minister David Cameron has said.

Britain has already lent France the use of two C-17 military transport planes.

French president in Mali visit

There was a hero's welcome for France's President Hollande when he arrived in Timbuktu. He was visiting the desert city in Mali, after its recapture from Islamic extremists.
