Jamie Oliver has proved he is hot stuff by setting a new world record - for chopping raw chillies.

The TV chef sliced up 10 in 30 seconds to achieve his feat during a live broadcast.

Oliver's pal and fellow chef Gennaro Contaldo set a new record for making ravioli.

Their record attempts were staged during a live launch for Oliver's YouTube channels online last night.

Adjudicators from Guinness World Records were on hand to verify their supremacy.

Afterwards Oliver told his fans he was "well happy".
