The ongoing conflict in Mali is set to dominate the African Union (AU) summit in Addis Ababa, as regional leaders meet to discuss the deployment of African troops.
On Friday, the AU agreed to send more troops to the French-led military intervention. AU peace and security commissioner Ramtane Lamamra said:
We definitely know, based on the first assumptions... that the force size will have to be significantly augmented.
