The Associated Press is reporting that the US school bus driver who was shot earlier today in Dale County, Alabama has since died.
Authorities say a gunman boarded the school bus, shot the driver and then fled with a six-year-old passenger.
It is understood the gunman has taken the child to an area behind a nearby church and police officers are continuing to negotiate with him.
