Cameron welcomes police visit to Libya over Lockerbie

David Cameron said the decision to allow British police into Libya to investigate the Lockerbie bombing is a significant step and he hopes the truth will be uncovered.

The Prime Minister added that the decision showed how much Libya had changed since Colonel Gadaffi was overthrown less than two years ago.

David Cameron has told ITV News Libya faces a "long road" to genuine democracy during his visit to the capital Tripoli. The Libyan authorities also confirmed they will be giving visas to the police officers investigating the Lockerbie bombing.
