No buyer appears to match Victorian pier auction price
A Victorian-era pleasure pier put up for auction narrowly missed a sale as bids fell below the guide price of £400,000.
Buyers offered up to £390,000 for the 335-ft Cleethorpes Pier in North East Lincolnshire.
But Lincoln-based Swindells Auctioneers said they remained confident a deal can be struck with one of the failed bidders in the coming weeks.
