Schmeichel: PFA must do more to help troubled Gazza

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has urged the Professional Footballers' Association to help Paul Gascoigne, who is struggling with alcoholism and depression.

..instead of getting great deals on cars & other luxury goods for members,PFA should commit more time and funds to help the like of Gazza.

Newspapers published pictures of former England star Gascoigne in an "incoherent and drunk" state at a public appearance last week.

Today the Sunday Mirror says he admits: "I know I have to stop boozing but I simply can't."

Gazza on 'road to recovery'
