The 68-year-old was on his way to Midnight Mass when he was attacked on Greengate Lane close to his home at around 11.10pm on December 24th.
The service will take place at St Saviour's Church in High Green, Sheffield, at noon, and will be relayed to a large screen at St Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
Two men have appeared in court over Mr Greaves' murder and two more remain on bail in connection with his death.
