US states hit by as much as a metre of snow

Some parts of north-east USA have been experiencing record snowfall including an astonishing 40 inches (1 metre) in Hamden, Connecticut.

  • Manchester, Connecticut - 32.0
  • Portland, Massachusetts - 31.9

  • West Glocester, Rhode Island - 27.6
