Report: Largest clean-up 'in history' after US blizzard

The governor of New York has told NBC New York that the state is involved in one of the largest clean-up mobilisations in its history after a massive winter blizzard left it under two and half feet of snow

More than a third of all the state's snow-removal equipment was sent to the area, Governor Andrew Cuomo said. Almost 1,000 personnel and a total of close to 700 pieces of equipment, including more than 400 plow trucks and hundreds of snowblowers, trailers, and tow trucks, are being utilised.
