Five rescued after going missing the Cairngorms
Five people have been rescued and one found dead in the Scottish Highlands after a major search operation was launched, when the party of six men were reported overdue in the Cairngorms yesterday afternoon.
Braemar Mountain Rescue Team located five of the walkers, uninjured, on a hill near Carn Tarsuinn at around 12.10pm today. They have been flown to safety at a site close to Aviemore.
Shortly afterwards the sixth man's body was found in the Jacob's Ladder area of the mountains, the police confirmed.
