Since ITV launched its From The Heart campaign on Monday more than 20,000 people have signed up to the organ donation register.
Twenty-one-year-old Stacie Pridden needs a heart and lung transplant, she spoke to Daybreak about her condition.
Stacie was born with three holes in her heart, she suffers from blackouts as oxygen is unable to reach her brain.
She said some nights she stays up until three in the morning, waiting for that phone call to say a donor has been found.
