As ITV News' Africa Correspondent Rohit Kachroo first reported, South African police have now confirmed Oscar Pistorius will not be appearing in court today to face murder charges.
Police spokeswoman Brigadier Denise Beuke told reporters the athlete will remain in police custody overnight and will likely appear tomorrow morning.
