Foreign Secretary William Hague said he was "very concerned there has been another kidnap in northern Nigeria."
A British worker is believed to be among seven international workers who were kidnapped by Islamic extremists in Bauchi.
Mr Hague added that the Foreign Office was "in touch with Nigerian authorities."
