Indian Prime Minister condemns 'dastardly attack'

India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has condemned the attacks on Hyderabad and appealed for calm in the city.


Prime Minister: "This is a dastardly attack, the guilty will not go unpunished".


Prime Minister: "I appeal to the public to remain calm and maintain peace."


PM has also directed the central agencies to extend all possible help to the Andhra Pradesh state authorities in relief operations.


India warned of bombings

India had warnings of a security threat days before two bombs went off in a market in Hyderabad, killing 16, the country's interior minister has said.
