Hillsborough charity single commemorated with plaque

The Hillsborough charity single will be commemorated on a Wall of Fame in Liverpool today.

Last year's Christmas number one, the single raised money for the Hillsborough Disaster families, selling 269,000 copies.

Celebs like Sir Paul McCartney, Mel C, and Robbie Williams formed part of the Justice Collective, backed by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

The single He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother featured stars from the world of sport and comedy including Kenny Dalglish, Peter Reid and John Bishop.

A bronze disc will be unveiled today on Mathew Street, commemorating every number one single by an artist born in the city.
