Oscar Pistorius has been granted bail. In a lengthy judgement magistrate Desmond Nair said:
"The accused has made a case to be released on bail"
In his ruling, which lasted almost two hours, Magistrate Desmond Nair said he could not find that Pistorius had been established as a flight risk, or enough evidence of propensity to violence.
He also said he does not think granting bail would cause public outrage.
