Kerry: Syria violence shows it is time for Assad to go

The US Secretary of State John Kerry said the continued violence in Syria showed that it was time for President Bashar al-Assad to go.

Speaking alongside Kerry, Foreign Secretary William Hague called for support for Syria's opposition to be increased significantly to bring the conflict to an end.

John Kerry meets Cameron

America's new Secretary of State John Kerry is holding talks with the Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary William Hague on the first stop in an 11-day 'listening tour' that will take him to Paris, Rome and Cairo among other cities.
