Former England manager Steve McClaren has left Dutch club FC Twente following crisis talks over recent poor results.

The former Middlesbrough boss has parted company with the team in fifth place in the Eredivisie.

He led Twente to its first title in 2010 during his first spell in charge of the club, before returning after less successful tenures with German side Vfl Wolfsburg and Nottingham Forest.
