Savile's penthouse to be 'demolished by new owners'

Jimmy Savile's former penthouse is set to be demolished by its new owners because of the "terrible, terrible condition" it is in, it was claimed.

The Roundhay Park property, which went on the market in September for £325,000, was bought for £250,000 by Malcolm and Angela Statman, BBC News reported.

The couple told the broadcaster:

We are going to demolish it in the next six months to two years because of the terrible, terrible condition it is in... and completely rebuild it before selling it or possibly using it as a rental property.
