US watchdog investigates shakes on a plane

The US flight watchdog is investigating whether a group of Colorado College students violated air safety rules when they did the Harlem Shake on a plane.

The students, members of the college's Ultimate Frisbee team, have insisted they asked staff on the Frontier Airlines flight from Colorado Springs to San Diego for permission before filming the stunt.

A spokesman the Federal Aviation Administration told college newspaper The Catalyst, "They are still looking into it, it’s still open. I don’t know where the [investigators] were told about it, but when they saw the video they just decided to look into it because it is better to be safe than sorry”.

Frontier Airlines told the newspaper that all safety measures were followed and the seat belt sign was off.
