Syria's health system 'collapse'

Doctors Without Borders have said that aid to Syria is falling "drastically short" and the country's previously functioning health system has collapsed. One million people have fled the Syrian conflict, according to the UN.

Influx of Syrian refugees could 'destabilise' region

EU Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva has warned that the sheer number of Syrian refugees risks destabilising other "fragile" countries in the region.

Georgieva has herself visited camps for Syrian refugees in neighbouring Lebanon and met some of the children caught up in the conflict.
