After bookmakers Ladbrokes slashed the odds on the Duchess of Cambridge's baby being a girl after she appeared to slip up during a visit to Grimsby - William Hill has suspended betting after a barrage of new bets.
Rupert Adams, a spokesman for company, said: "Although the story is by no means conclusive, our customers came piling in and we were forced to suspend the market 10pm on Tuesday evening."
