Campaigners welcome ruling on Leeds child heart unit
Campaigners against plans to centralise children's heart surgery services in England won a legal victory today over a decision to close a unit at Leeds General Infirmary.
A High Court judge ruled that the consultation process leading to the NHS decision had been flawed.
The future of three children's heart units - in Leeds, Leicester and London - is still unclear, but campaigners are seeing today's ruling as a promising sign.
