Sunny spells as snow clears, but temperatures stay low

The band of snow that has caused disruption over the last day in the south east has finally cleared.

Most of the country will see some decent sunny spells, but it'll still feel cold, with highs of only 2 and 6 degrees Celsius.

This evening the temperature will fall back below freezing point.

Snow causes travel disruption

Hundreds of drivers were stranded in their vehicles in Sussex and Kent overnight in freezing conditions due to the snow. There were reports of drivers stuck for more than 10 hours.
