Dogs wow children with their circus tricks in Japan

Children at a school in Japan were wowed when they were treated to special performance by a group of 'unwanted dogs'.

The travelling Wow Wow Dog Circus brought smiles and laughter as they performed a variety of tricks including jumping rope, and balancing on balls.

The circus aims to educate young people about the responsibilities of pet ownership and encourage them adopt animals from shelters rather than buying them from pet shops.

In Japan, 100,000 dogs are abandoned and destroyed every year.
