Putin: Cyprus bank account levy would be 'dangerous'

Russian president Vladimir Putin said that if Cyprus's bank account levy was approved today it would be "unfair, unprofessional and dangerous", his spokesman told Reuters.

UK customers escape bank levy

Around 15,000 savers in the UK arm of stricken Cypriot bank Laiki will see their deposits protected under British rules and will escape the Cyprus banking levy.
