David Hockney's assistant dies

Dominic Elliott, a studio assistant to David Hockney, is understood to have died in hospital after being taken from the painter's home in a serious condition. Police confirmed an investigation into the circumstances of a 23-year-old man's death.

'No obvious natural causes' of death for Hockney's aide

A post mortem on David Hockney's assistant and friend Dominic Elliott has shown "no obvious natural causes for his death," Humberside Police has said.

Further tests will now be carried out, but their results will take some weeks.
