Two dresses worn by Princess Diana – bought at auction for nearly £130,000 yesterday – will be displayed to the public.

They formed part of an auction of 10 dresses which belonged to the Princess of Wales.

The gowns were bought by the charity Historic Royal Palaces, which runs Kensington Palace, Diana's former residence.

The 10 dresses were sold for a total of £862,800.
