Seven buildings, including: the Lyric Theatre, Ulster Museum, Public Records Office, Metropolitan Arts Centre, Crescent Arts Centre, MAC arts centre and Tollymore National Outdoor Centre, performed against time, at a cost.

Auditor general Kieran Donnelly said: "It is disappointing that most of the construction work did not go according to plan, with delays and cost overruns which resulted in all seven projects needing additional funding."

The combined cost of all the projects cost more than £100 million, over 30 per cent more than the £78.6 million estimated in the proposed business cases.
