Rescue workers recover body from collapsed house

A Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said a body was recovered from a house in Looe at around 6pm after it partially collapsed during a landslip earlier today.

The spokesman, Dave King, was unable to confirm whether it was that of the missing 68-year-old woman.

Big freeze 'for another month'

The Met Office has warned the freezing weather could last until the end of April, suggesting that temperatures are unlikely to recover to normal averages until the latter part of next month. Hundreds are facing a sixth day without power in Scotland.
