Landmarks across the UK switched off their lights last night in support of a global effort to tackle climate change.
Elizabeth Tower, which houses Big Ben in the Palace of Westminster, the Southbank Centre for arts on the banks of the River Thames and Buckingham Palace all went dark at 8.30pm for Earth Hour.
