Olympic gold medallist Alistair Brownlee has been awarded an MBE by the Queen.
During the London 2012, Brownlee became the first British triathlete to win an Olympic medal since the sport was introduced to the Games in Sydney 2000.
He also beat his younger brother, Jonathan Brownlee, who won the bronze medal despite receiving a time penalty.
